Our Practitioners

  • Lucy James

Registered Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner

    Founding Director

Lucy is an AHPRA-registered Chinese medicine practitioner (BHSc). They have undertaken additional post graduate studies in Chinese medicine for gynaecology and obstetrics, menopause and allied health care for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Lucy is a trained yoga instructor, and taught in the Macedon Ranges for many years prior to founding Little Window. Through their engagement with community and raising their own young family, it was Chinese medicine that offered a system of medicine that worked with prevention rather than cure.

It is not uncommon for individuals to seek East Asian therapies when the biomedical system has failed them, and Lucy welcomes those that are seeking a second opinion or are willing to delve into their health from the ground up. Lucy is deeply passionate about exploring all possibilities for improved health outcomes while taking an integrative approach to healthcare.

Lucy takes a hands-on approach in their treatment style, where they invite patients to participate in their body’s natural healing mechanisms, whether through bodywork, acupuncture, ancillary techniques, herbs or a combination.

Lucy has a particular interest in gynaecology, complex pain conditions and respiratory health.

Lucy loves to move and find ways to educate and support patients in their own fitness and movement patterns. When they’re not waxing lyrical about herbs and acupuncture, Lucy continues their crusade to find the best local waterholes, play in the kitchen, and share coffee and a natter with the locals at Kyneton’s many coffee shops.
